At Shaw University, service is more than something we do—it’s who we are. Shaw U R.I.S.E. (Reaching In & Serving Everyone) brings together students, faculty, staff, and alumni in the true Bear tradition of leadership and care. Through R.I.S.E., we foster civic engagement that is hands-on, heartfelt, and rooted in the communities we call home. Whether it’s volunteering at local schools, supporting neighborhood projects, or championing social justice, Shaw Bears step up with pride, passion, and purpose. Together, we don’t just talk about change—we rise to make it happen. Because when Shaw Bears reach in, the whole community rises up.
Alumni Chapters
Our chapters create Bear hubs across the U.S. and beyond. Chapters host events, build community, and keep alumni engaged with Shaw’s mission. Whether you’re local or global, you can find—or start.
